To all GERATOLers, there will be a GERATOL Board Meeting this week.

Date: Thursday evening February 11th (Zulu, Feb12)

Time: 8PM Eastern (0100Z), prior to net starting

Where: 3.668 Mhz

Greetings to all GERATOL Net Members

The net is seeking nominations for the following officer positions:

— Chairman of the Board

— Vice Chairman of the Board

— Net Secretary

— Net Treasurer

Anyone who wishes to nominate a candidate of their choice, may notify any of the following members of the nomination Committee, of their nominations.

The Nomination Committee members by call area are as follows:
1st call district   N1KL
2nd call district  AA1TA
3rd call district   W3ON
4th call district   AA4HF
5th call district   WG5N
6th call district   W6VY
7th call district   N7UT
8th call district   KJ8V
9th call district   AC9GK
10th call district AA0ZP

The nomination committee is comprised of volunteers, who do not solicit nominations, but who are there to facilitate taking the names of anyone you would like to nominate for any and all of the Net Officer positions listed.

They will keep track of any nominations they receive, and will forward those nominations to the GERATOL Net Secretary: Frank AA0ZP by December 30th, 2017

Anyone that is nominated has to be asked if they will accept the job,  no surprise nominations should be made.

So if you wish to place someone’s name in nomination,  feel free to contact any of the nominating committee of your choice.   Time is of the essence, since names must be submitted to our Net Secretary by December 30th.

Greetings all……..As the days grow even shorter, and the nights colder, the activity is picking up on the GERATOL net !!!

Thanks to a great combination of old-timers stopping by to say hello, and a great crop of new folks working toward their basic award, the nights on 3.668 Mhz starting at 0100Z are definitely heating up !!

We even had a few of the basic folks work the elusive Alaska this past week…..

This Saturday evening 1st shift net was exceptionally busy, with Marv, WV9O earning his pay as NCS and then some, with great work lists, and lots of check-ins !!

So if you have not yet jumped on the net this season, come on up and join us some evening……Put your state on the air for the new folks working toward their basic, and say hi to old acquaintences……we’d enjoy hearing you all !!!

Well guys I am putting out another request for help. Anyone that has any Award or Endorsement issued in 1972 or EARLIER please send me the ward/endorsement number and especially the date issued if you have the info. I am still working on rebuilding the Awards database. I got great response last season and I really appreciate it as it filled in a lot of blanks. Send any info you have to kj8v@charter.net and I will get put in the database.
